Planning materials for school projects
Reduce last-minute shopping by preparing drawing, craft and stationery essentials before project work begins.
Read the project brief first
Before purchasing supplies, identify the required format, dimensions and submission rules. This prevents buying materials that are attractive but unsuitable for the assignment.
Build a reusable basics kit
A useful home or classroom kit can include drawing sheets, chart paper, pencils, erasers, rulers, colours, brushes, adhesive and safe cutting tools. Add specialised materials only when the project requires them.
Allow time for a clean finish
Plan the work in stages and leave time for paint or adhesive to dry. Keeping spare paper and a few replacement supplies nearby can prevent a small mistake from becoming a last-minute problem.
